Absence Call Back System

To ensure the safety of Van Walleghem students, the school operates a “call-back” system every school day. Parents are asked to call the school at 489-0995 to notify us of a student absence for any reason. You may leave a message at anytime by voice mail. During the day, leave the information with a school secretary who will notify your child’s teacher. Where the parent has not called to advise us that their child will be away from school the secretary will telephone the parent immediately to make certain that the absence is with the parent’s knowledge. Your cooperation in contacting the school prior to the school contacting you is appreciated.

Where your child rides the school bus, an additional call is requested. After 7:30 a.m. and before “bus time”, call King Transportation at 257-0696 give the dispatcher your child’s name, your address, and the “bus” name.
