School Closure

When a heavy snowfall occurs, or when “blizzard” status is granted to a storm, please listen to the radio to determine if Pembina Trails schools will be open. Divisional policy states that buses will be cancelled if the windchill is -45°C or lower. The radio station (CJOB) may announce that “buses will not run but that schools will be open". We recognize that this sends a mixed message but the reality is that there are times when it is too cold for the buses to run but that schools can stay open and function as usual.

If, as a parent, you choose to keep your child(ren) home please advise the school as you normally would for an absence.
